Job Description:
- Check Defense is a fast-growing federal contractor seeking a qualified and experienced Independent Contractors to serve as Combat Skill Instructors as Range Safety Officers, Demolition Operations Supervisors, Advanced Tactical Shooting (ATS) Instructors, Small Unit Tactics Instructors (SMUT), Close Quarters Combat (CQC) Instructors, On and Off-Road Tactical Driving Instructors, and/or as any other high-risk combat training supervisor required for a requisite block of training.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Possess competencies in Weapons Handling, Tactical shooting, Tactical Reloads, Shooting off hand, Shooting from the prone, kneeling, and standing, Target acquisition, and Weapons Flow.
- Strong knowledge of Naval Special Warfare Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP’s) for tactical shooting or combat shooting, or other Federal/State Law Enforcement equivalent shooting instruction, and/or commercial competitive shooting instruction.
- Able to replace, re-hang doors and re-fit breaching and shooting houses following exercises / runs.
- Provide Advanced Tactical Shooting (ATS) Marksmanship Skills that concentrates on basic – intermediary combat marksmanship TTPs and mastery of the fundamentals.
- Instruct Small Unit Tactics (SMUT) Skills, that concentrates on intermediary to advanced small unit tactics TTPs and mastery of the fundamentals.
- Conduct On & Off-road Driver Training designed to develop, integrate, refine, and enhance driving skills utilizing platforms similar to what is anticipated to be used in theater directed assignments, and the use of crew served weapons from these platforms.
- Provide Breaching Special Purpose Training designed to enable specialized elements of the force to refine their skills with respect to Interior and Exterior multi-barrier defeat techniques to include mechanical, exothermic, ballistic, and energetic breaching techniques.
- Conduct a Full Spectrum Supported Situational Training Exercise (STX) to fully integrate and evaluate the skills acquired / refined / enhanced during training.
Required Qualifications:
- United States citizen.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5 years of knowledge of Naval Special Warfare Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP’s). ATS, SMUT, CQC, Breaching, Driving, and FMP STX shall be a graduate an Advanced Urban Combat Course from NSW, MARSOC, USMC Recon, Special Forces, or AFSOC.
- All Instructors must meet at least two of the following discipline requirements:
- Instructors for Marksmanship shall have a minimum of three years instructing ATS, SMUT, and CQC.
- Breaching Instructors shall have served a minimum of one tour as a Master Breacher in a SOF unit.
- Driving Instructors shall have a minimum of 5 years’ experience teaching on & off-road tactical mobility training to SOF units.
- Shall have experience within USSOCOM/USASOC/Marine Force Recon/NavSpecWar as an NCO, SNCO/CPO or Officer with multiple successful tours.
- Must be able to pass a background check through the National Crime Information Center and sign a DD Form 2760 covering the Lautenberg Amendment to Gun Control Act of 1968.
Work Conditions/ Travel:
- Outdoors in various weather conditions
- Noise between 50db to 165db.
- Work in rough and remote terrain; in weather extremes such as thunderstorms, high heat, and humidity, severe cold and wind.
- Work in the proximity of military training exercises.
- Occasional travel may be required to CONUS locations in support of the TO.
