Job Purpose:
Check Defense is a fast-growing federal contractor seeking professional employees to serve as a CTF Doctrine & Training Developer Instructor. These roles provide specialized doctrine development, training product creation, and instructional support focused on Counter Threat Finance (CTF) operations. This role supports the U.S. Army Special Operations Center of Excellence (SOCoE) by developing, revising, and reviewing CTF doctrine and training products that enable Army Special Operations Forces (ARSOF), Conventional Forces, Joint, Interagency, and Allied partners to identify, disrupt, and mitigate adversary financial networks.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Doctrine and training developer and instructor has primary development responsibilities for FID, Counterterrorism (CT), and Counterinsurgency (COIN) as each address’s IW activities.
- Developer may be required to conduct surges and assist developing products outside of their area of primary responsibility.
- Conduct extensive research and analysis to develop or revise CTF doctrine and training products
- Create training products that articulate CTF processes, procedures, and techniques used to counter adversary financial resources and capabilities
- Ensure CTF doctrine and training products are synchronized with Army, Joint, and Allied operational requirements
- Develop and update doctrine and training materials using Army systems of record, including TDC and ATMS
- Integrate CTF concepts across Army Conventional Forces and Army Special Operations Forces
- Analyze current doctrine, lessons learned, experimentation reports, and operational feedback to inform CTF training development
- Coordinate with Joint, Interagency, Allied partners, and other Army Centers of Excellence
- Participate in working groups, meetings, and conferences to support CTF doctrine integration
- Conduct peer reviews of doctrine and training products to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality
- Prepare staffing packages and supporting documentation for publication and approval
- Present briefings and written analyses to inform senior leaders and decision-makers
- Travel as required to support training events, validation efforts, and interagency integration
- Submit monthly progress reports and after-action reports following training or integration events
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience (within the last 5 years) as an Army-trained doctrine or training developer, or Combined Army Training Strategy (CATS) developer utilizing the Army approved software programs and/OR relevant operational experience supporting Special Operations or financial threat mitigation missions
- Demonstrated experience developing or supporting CTF-related doctrine, training, or operational processes
- Graduate of a Doctrine Developer Course or TRADOC-recognized equivalent
- Proficiency with Training Development Capability (TDC)
- Demonstrated experience producing doctrine or training products aligned with Army and TRADOC regulations
- Strong research, analytical, and technical writing skills
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a CAC and access to government systems (NIPR/SIPR)
Preferred:
- Proficiency with Army Training Management System (ATMS)
- Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Prior experience supporting Counter Threat Finance, Counterterrorism (CT), Counterinsurgency (COIN), or Irregular Warfare missions
- Experience coordinating with Joint, Interagency, or Allied partners
- Prior instructional or facilitation experience in military training environments
- Familiarity with classified training development systems
Travel:
- CONUS and OCONUS travel required (e.g., Fort Moore, Fort Leavenworth, Washington, DC, Germany, and other Army/Joint locations)
